Paralyzed Prime Photography

Hey, I’m Jared—founder of ParalyzedPrime and a portrait and concert photographer with a passion for capturing the in-between moments most people overlook.

Ironically, I used to hate photography. I always felt like it pulled people out of the moment rather than letting them live it. That changed the night I found myself in a hospital bed, being told that I might not survive the weekend. Alone, and scared, I scrolled through my phone looking for memories—only to realize I barely had any. No photos. No snapshots of my life. Just silence.

Thankfully, I made it through. And during recovery, I started going on walks and casually taking photos of the world around me with my phone. I wasn’t trying to be a photographer—I just wanted to see life more clearly. I began sharing these little scenes, and unexpectedly, people started reaching out—telling me how much they resonated with my work, urging me to give photography a shot. Eventually, I listened.

Since then, I’ve been lucky enough to work with some amazing people, shoot shows for bands I grew up with, and tell stories through a lens I once swore off. My style lives in the space between moody and dreamy—something grounded, but still surreal. I aim to make photos that feel like memories: raw, atmospheric, and human.

Whether I’m capturing the quiet confidence of a portrait or the chaotic energy of a live show, I’m here to document emotion—not just image. And I’d be honored to help you tell your story.
